This is an independent portrayal. The events pertaining to this account take place after the events of the Wolf's Rain anime, and are heavily based on headcanons and the writer's own ideas.

โ˜ฝ Summary โ˜พ

Deserted and downcast following her birth pack's inferno-induced death by Jaguara's forces, an unassuming Blue remained ignorant of her past life. With time, the reincarnated beast fractured and spiraled, picking up the habit of alcohol consumption and hardly getting by while traversing whatever town she happened upon.Hige had, appropriately, found her first. And already having some degree of knowledge regarding their former existence, the collared wolf greeted her with an enthusiasm that initially led Blue to believe he was crazy. But hearing his name, it clicked. Like a static shock, she was hit with a flood of disjointed memories. With them brought haunting feelings of confusion, failure, and additional heartache.Something that did not resurface, however, was her affection towards Hige. This sudden influx of knowledge, coupled with her hangover, made her vertiginous, inviting the two to have a needed sit-down, whether she liked it or not.Through the Mexican wolf's encouragement, the still-reluctant sapphire-eyed wolf joined him in searching for their missing pack members, along with Paradise. And although not attracted to him like she once was, Blue would come to appreciate Hige more than he'd ever know.โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โŠ› โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โ‰”โ‰–โ‰•Only two months passed before the naturally stoic Kiba reappeared, reaffirming his place as leader almost instantly upon arrival with little initial objection from the other two. Something Blue would steadily grow to question as she and Hige spent more time with him.One of several encounters with Jaguara's troops lead the trio to Cheza. And in spite of Kiba's hard-headed and near negligent determination, retrieving the maiden was a cinch. Largely thanks to an unidentified group of nomadic bandits who'd been engaging the convoy transfering Cheza to the Noblewoman's keep.Their luck ended a mere week later. Darcia, in all his gothic, mysterious glory, had come to take back what was taken from his family. The struggle was brief. So brief, in fact, that there was barely one to be remembered upon waking from the disturbed dirt. Wounded and delirious, Blue found herself alone. Again.โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โŠ› โ‰”โ‰–โ‰• โ‰”โ‰–โ‰•Years drifted by without a sign of anyone she knew, be it from this life or the one before it. Lost, both in alcohol and in spirit, the she-wolf had all but given up on Paradise.By happenstance, she discovered love. A love that brought her back to sobriety and stable ground. One that gave her something to live for again. A family. Not only had the ravenette conceived her first child, but she'd even managed to reconnect and reconcile with two of her siblings. Things were looking up for her after lengthy years of misfortune. But it seems that too was not to last. The passing of her mate hit Blue hard, overwhelming and shattering her to the point of relapse. Her baby boy, Garm, being the sole thing that prevented the stygian beast from shutting down completely.Ashamed at her lost sobriety and not wishing to expose her son to her brokenness, Blue agreed to continue the search for Paradise on her own. And, with hope, promising to be recomposed upon return. Thus far, her journey persists...

โ˜ฝ Headcanons โ˜พ

Rather than casting the semblance of being human, Blue physically shapeshifts between forms. This is merely one example of how I view things changing from life to life.

Her birthday is the nineteenth of September. She's twenty-five years of age, but appears slightly older as a result of stress and sleep deprivation.

She only remembers fragments of her former life. For instance, she remembers certain people, brief pieces of events, and random things she'd heard others say.Her strongest memories are in regard to Darcia and her own death. When it comes to Quent, Blue vaguely recalls him through negative and fuzzy snippets of memory, with much of what she remembers being of the two attacking and killing wolves. The sight of Quent turning his back to her in favor of pursuing revenge is another fleeting, but damning memory that sullies his image. As it stands, Quent and his family are absent from this portrayal. This may change in the future with a singular encounter. Whether this event is played out through a solo or SL has yet to be decided. The sudden appearance of a Quent account may alter this as well.

Blue's attachment to Cheza is more palpable than she tends to display, as the Flower Maiden's appearance in this life was the only thing that made her start to truly believe in the existence of Paradise.Even so, she has had her apprehensions about Paradise, and still finds moments where she questions its merit. But she longs for Paradise. She desires its validity as a safe haven. Not just for herself, but for those she holds dear. Especially her son.

She swears more than she did in the anime. Not by much, but enough to where itโ€™s noticeable. Her upbringing, hardships, and degraded ability to care are to blame for this. That being said, aside from particular situations, she usually wonโ€™t utter profanity on the same level of crassness as โ€˜fuckโ€™.

Blue is most reliant on her hand-to-hand combat capabilities, as well as her animalistic speed and strength. In addition, she will commonly make use of the environment surrounding her when facing opposition. She's incredibly stealthy, evasive, and decently durable. While not the greatest at blocking attacks, she is perfectly capable of avoiding or enduring her fair share of physical pain.Despite being an able fighter, Blue generally prefers to avoid serious conflicts where she can.

Originally picked up as something to be pawned, Blue carries an M9 in an outer trench coat pocket. She claims it as a precautionary item, and has used it to get out of some hairy situations throughout the years.Although she is an okay shot, her Beretta is more often used for threatening or bludgeoning.

She has a long, vertical scar stretching from just above her left eyebrow to the top of her cheek. Fortunately, the wound wasnโ€™t deep enough to damage her eyesight.Various, generally less obvious scars litter her body, but theyโ€™re usually hidden by fur (or clothing, when appearing human).

The relationship with her first mate is ever-constant in this portrayal, and comes directly from an earlier ship.Aside from a specific AU, he is officially deceased.

As the firstborn of the newest pair of alphas, she was intended to eventually become the next alpha female of her birth pack. Something that would never come true.Despite being brought up to be an alpha, Blue does not actively seek leadership roles. However, she will take the reins if need be.

Given that her mother was a wolfdog, Blue is part dog. She is unaware of her impure blood, however, and is under the belief that she is a full-blooded wolf.Although prideful of her presumed purity, the time spent away from her own kind has inflicted her with more human tendencies. Examples of this are when she drinks alcohol, uses her phone, or fires her pistol.

Appointed such roles by her parents, she is the guardian and guide to four younger siblings, with three of them still among the living.Having aged with a strong value regarding togetherness and loyalty, Blue strives to show the people she loves that she's dependable. And, as a result of her fatherโ€™s influence, she views disloyalty and cowardice as borderline sins. She'll take whatever measures are necessary to protect her friends and family, even if theyโ€™re seen as excessive.

While she may come off as distant, disinterested, and even a tad sarcastic toward people sheโ€™s recently met, Blue will largely behave in an even-tempered, civilized manner.Generally keeping to herself, the she-wolf puts up a stony front in the presence of new people, a deterrent meant to prevent relationships from forming. Make no mistake, being deeply loving beneath the skin, Blue wants to create and strengthen bonds. She just believes itโ€™d be better for everyone if she didnโ€™t.Occasionally, a presence will appear which canโ€™t be ignored. Whether they are connected to her previous life or merely too intriguing to disregard, it is not uncommon for her to become more communicative and attentive toward these individuals.

Those whoโ€™ve grown close can label Blue as understanding, hopeful, protective, devoted, sincere, and affectionate. In more recent years, she has also become somewhat of a peacekeeper.Though compassionate and even playful with those in her circle, Blue is still reluctant to share her traumas, as well as her more negative emotions and traits, with them. These include her self-loathing, survivor's guilt, and grief. Additionally, she finds difficulty in expressing the depths of her alcohol dependance.Aside from depression and alcoholism, Blue also struggles with abandonment issues, insomnia, and moderate PTSD.

A composed, high-functioning alcoholic, Blue shows few signs of obvious inebriation unless she's significantly hammered (which is scarcely achieved).Although she makes frequent attempts at returning to sobriety, she has yet to be successful in staying alcohol-free for more than a couple months.

Difficult to rile, it takes very specific things to trigger Blue into becoming genuinely upset. This is because she tends to inflict feelings of anger and sadness upon herself too frequently to allow others to easily accomplish that job for her.Under the right circumstances, however, she can become devastatingly vicious and hard-hearted. She can also be quite stubborn regarding people whoโ€™ve emotionally wounded her.
